Your heartBEAT

Thump. Thump. Thump. For the first time, I truly listened to sound of my heartbeat. It was smooth and I soon drifted off into sleep, after God enlighten me about the real reason behind my heartbeat.

God knitted us from dust to flesh, and is the ultimate Mastermind behind mankind. Unlike Science, God knows exactly when He created the Earth, how old the rivers are, and why we have 46 chromosomes instead of 460.

Checking for a pulse, is the first thing a person does when they suspect someone is unconscious, or quickly perishing. If there is no pulse, then there is no heartbeat. No heartbeat, means there is no sign of life. If there is a pulse, then there is still hope, despite the grave condition a person may be in. Our lives can sometimes be in grave conditions due to financial strain, broken relationships, constant obstacles, and various other trials. But, through it all our heart still beats.

In Zephaniah 3:17, the Bible says that God rejoices over us with loud singing, and for years I have always wondered, “What is He singing over me?” And to my surprise I finally have an answer: God sings a song of life over us…our heartBEAT.

So our heart not only pumps blood and nutrients through our body with every contraction, but it also represents the song that God continuously sings over us!

When was the last time you listened to your heartbeat?

Until Sunday
