From infancy to early-adolescence, I grew up hearing about God, but not knowing Him personally. Along the journey of popping pimples and going to school, I learned that there is a stark contrast between hearing of someone and knowing someone. And from that place of meeting God and needing Him in my life, Anomalous Darlings was born!

“For the Lord your God has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will give you victory. He will rejoice over you with great gladness; he will love you and not accuse you. Is that a joyous choir I hear? No, it is the Lord himself exulting over you in happy song. I have gathered your wounded and taken away your reproach.” -Zephaniah 3:17 TLB

In the years since starting AD, although I have grown in my relationship with God, I still struggle with being a young adult Christian in a world that says, “You aren’t normal if you don’t act/do/say xyz.” However, I have learned (and am still learning) to rest in knowing that God created me and loves me, that Jesus died for me and loves me, and that I have The Holy Spirit within me. And with those three men, the things of this world quickly dissipate!
