The 13 Rule

“Perfect, absolute peace surrounds those whose imaginations are consumed with you; they confidently trust in you..

Any battle, game or challenge is usually won before it even starts, in the mind. David saw Goliath defeated before he even threw the rock, just as the woman with the issue of blood saw herself healed before touching the hem of Jesus’ garment.

There is where The 13 Rule, based off of Philippians 4:8, comes in. If you read Philippians 4:8 from the Amplified version, Paul lists 13 guidelines for our thoughts.

Finally, believers,

  1. whatever is true,
  2. whatever is honorable,
  3. worthy of respect,
  4. whatever is right,
  5. confirmed by God’s word,
  6. whatever is pure
  7. wholesome
  8. whatever is lovely
  9. brings peace,
  10. whatever is admirable,
  11. of good repute,
  12. if there is any excellence,
  13. if there is anything worthy of praise,

think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].

ANY negative thought subjected to each of those 13 rules will quickly dissipate because negativity is always in complete violation of Philippians 4:8. God goes before us, fighting our battles while we remind our rest, Exodus 14:14. Our job is think to positively think our way through and remember we already have the victory!
