Hindsight is always 20/20, isn’t it? As I replay my childhood and how I always wanted the “whys” and “hows” about everything from my future to the Lost Colonists, I now see that I liked to look years ahead to anticipate problems or years back to solve them.
“Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” Luke 21:26 KJV
It is in our hearts, where decisions of either, faith or fair are made, not our eyes. We use our eyes to evaluate situations and record information but ultimately do not employ them beyond that. You think flowers worry about the frost coming tomorrow night or that the sidewalks are hot to the touch from the sun? Nope! They’ve all have a promise of life and every day when I pass by flower gardens in the morning, I can’t help but think: if the plants can be decisive, with a fraction of the mental capacity that I have, then what is my excuse?
The unfathomable events happening in the world are mentally incomprehensible but spiritually conquerable! We cannot afford to let ourselves become ensnared by the very things that Jesus died for!
And, in case you’re wondering, I don’t have an excuse. However, now I have an inspiration to do better in life J. Examples of God’s Love are truly everywhere! Go treasure hunting through the 66 books of the Bible instead of watching the 5th rerun of a 66-minute news’ programs that only speaks of doom and gloom!
