To ask who is God, we must first answer what is love.
God’s Love never fails, never changes and never stops moving.
psalm 73:25-26 tlv
“Whom have I in heaven but You? On earth there is none I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
In Heaven, we have God and on earth, we have God. Wherever we go and whatever we do, He is always with us.
This week marks roughly a month since COVID-19 was officially declared a pandemic. As someone who finds history fascinating, I always wonder about the experience of living through historical time periods. Now, thanks to COVID-19, I am gaining a sense of what those answers may look like. The silver lining in this is that we get to be a part of history!
Years from now when we reflect upon this COVID-19, I think most people will remember the uncertainty and how it challenging it was to get clear information. Don’t wear masks. Wear masks. Pets cannot be infected. Pets can be infected. Crowds less than 50. Crowds less than 10. Actually, just stay at home and do not gather.
As research comes out, we are daily learning how to protect ourselves from COVID-19 and honestly, that’s a horrible protection plan. We find ourselves in a reactive state, rather than a proactive state. And that is where God’s Love picks up the slack, sweeping over us and working in ways that we cannot see. Although the guidelines are important, they are not foolproof and there are no guarantees. God’s Love is the only force incapable of failing us and able to perfectly sustain us!
Yes, the numbers are all over the place but God hasn’t changed. Yes, the experts are baffled but God is not. Yes, the times are disorderly but God is peaceful. He is a strong tower and place of refuge!
Until Weekend Wellness,
