Like a Tree

“But blessed is the man who trusts me, God, the woman who sticks with God. They’re like trees replanted in Eden, putting down roots near the rivers— Never a worry through the hottest of summers, never dropping a leaf, Serene and calm through droughts, bearing fresh fruit every season.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8 MSG

Serene and calm thoughts. With schools and universities reopen, many teachers and other faculty, students and parents are probably having thoughts are far from serene and calm. There are more questions surrounding COVID than answers and the cases are growing.

For the last week, when I finally began to process that the university I attend was returning full capacity with in-person classes, I was on the edge. I’m not a fan of uncertainty nor situations that are unstable, which makes COVID the perfect learning opportunity for me! 🙂

As we navigate these troubled waters —troubled in the sense that we do not know one day from the next and God is truly the only constant— I pray that would stay encouraged and remember that God is faithful. He will keep you and your family in perfect health. He will provide for all of your needs. He will protect your mind from negative thoughts. He will walk with you, wherever you go. Know that you are not alone, for God is with you, along with many other Believers. Know that you are loved, for Jesus died for you. Know that you are special, for you are a child of God! Know that you are already victorious because God never fails!
