Leaving Me Out

Leaving Me Out.jpg

For the last month, I have been focusing my prayers on specific requests such as being sensitive to God’s voice and feeling Jesus’ perfect peace. Focusing my prayers has helped tremendously in the prayer department, as sometimes you just have to say, “Hey God, it’s me and I need all of your mercy and wisdom in my life with xyz.”

This week, I’ve been praying for deliverance from the mental strongholds of perfection and peacelessness. My optimistic attitude waned as my thoughts went awry and I realized that I’ve prayed the prayer of deliverance more times than I like to count! One thing I love about Jesus, besides His unconditional love, is that He meets us right where we are, no matter how low or high that place may be.

“Don’t leave me out!”, Jesus spoke to me, before continuing with, “Leaving me out of the equation is like removing the engine from a car. Outward appearances may be dashing, but that’s all it will ever be as the car is without mobility. I am the way, physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially. Through me, you are unstoppable; without me are immovable.”

I have never considered the fact that I could pray prayers and sow seeds, only to uproot them within a matter of minutes. Jesus’ involvement in our lives doesn’t begin and end, with amen, He travels alongside us throughout our days and nights, sustaining us with His love and strength!

Folks, we can’t summons Jesus to be our defense attorney against the trials of life, only to dismiss Him after His opening arguments. He must be as close as our next breathe and as real as our next step…

I will be your God through all your lifetime, yes, even when your hair is white with age. I made you and I will care for you. I will carry you along and be your Savior.” -Isaiah 46:4 (TLB)
