During Microbiology lab last year, my partner and I were required to light our Bunsen Burners and complete our lab work with them on. The fire was believed to purify our lab stations and kill the airborne microbes in the room.
After almost roasting my fingers a couple of times, I finally became comfortable around the fire. However, I was always fascinated with how one small innocent spark could ignite a large destructive fire.
Just as we happily roast marshmallows and hot dogs around fires, despite the dangers, we can still enjoy life, regardless of the unpredictability.
I don’t have all the pieces of my life together, but I am learning to enjoy the chaos of that! God knows what He is doing and when I walk through the fires of life, He shields me so that I don’t even smell like smoke (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3:27)
If life is a little uncomfortable, be reassured that God is working in your favor and embrace the journey!
Until Sunday,
I love that story in the book of Daniel. Great post, thanks!
