“I will have more intentionality and less emotionality.” I wrote that down today, as I was thinking about life. There are endless things to be emotional about, politics, COVID-19, people etc….you will find no shortage of worrisome topics!

Colossians 3:2 TPT
When it comes to our thought life and spiritual well-being, there isn’t an easy or permanent fix. We can’t pay someone to keep account for our thoughts or take medication to keep our Spirits in tip-top shape. It takes labor and work, requiring discipline and intention. Earlier today, I saw that #ItsOkayToNotBeOkay was trending and that statement is true, to a point. However, there does come a point where we cannot stay in a state of not being okay.
The way God created us is so amazing in the way, that human nature by default is not chronic negativity and giving up. We may have rough days and long seasons in life, but overall we persevere through it and we do so with our objectives in life, not our feelings.
At this point, we have all been impacted in some way, maybe by a loved one with COVID-19, or a media post that was saddening. Looking upon the world, we have causes for concern, worry, stress and fear, yet when looking upon Heaven, we have causes for contentment, peace joy, and faith!
It is not about what is going on in the world, but about where your are looking and abiding…
