I Week 4: Confident—No Comparisons

You don’t have to play the ‘How Much’ comparison game of “how much more talented they are than me” or “how much they hurt me”. Because as a daughter/son of God, He loves you much, much more than your perceived inadequacies or pain from relationships!

2 timothy 1:7 tlb

For the Holy Spirit, God’s gift, does not want you to be afraid of people, but to be wise and strong, and to love them and enjoy being with them.

Having a fear of people comes in many different shapes and sizes! It may be fear of their opinions, fear of their motives, fear of being upstaged by them or even fear of how they make you feel.

However, all fear is bad fear, which was never part of God’s Plans for your life and the reason why Jesus had to sacrifice himself.

In your interactions with other people, you can feel confident and secure, because God made you to be you and others to be others. You cannot be upstaged by someone else in the area of your God-given gift and neither can you be forced to feel inferior or bothered by someone’s presence.

You have the power to:

  • Demote self-inferiority and promote high self-esteem
  • Not feel rejected by people but protected by God
  • Step out of avenging wrongs and into loving, despite the wrongs
