Our words have the power to bring life or death, to both, our external surroundings and internal existence.
exodus 4:10-12 tlv
“But Moses said to Adonai, “Adonai, I am not a man of words—not yesterday, nor the day before, nor since You have spoken to Your servant—because I have a slow mouth and a heavy tongue.”
So Adonai said to him, “Who made man’s mouth? Or who makes a man mute or deaf, seeing or blind? Is it not I, Adonai? Now go! I will be with your mouth and teach you what to say.”
Hello, Week 26…I cannot believe we have reached the end of this series, Inflorescence!
In the early chapters of Exodus, God goes to Moses and commands him to deliver His people, the Israelites from Pharaoh. Moses gives many excuses as to why he isn’t the man for job, the biggest one being, “I am not a man of words”, basically saying that he has speech deficits.
However in Exodus 3:13-14, before Moses tries to disqualify himself from God’s calling, he asks the question, “What should I say to Pharaoh and his men?”. God replies to Moses saying, “I AM WHO I AM.” Then He said, “You are to say to Bnei-Yisrael, ‘I AM’ has sent me to you.”
I am, are two powerful declarative words. Moses used them to declare his insufficiency while God used them to declare His self-sufficiency. I structured the last 25 weeks around positive “I am” statements that align with how God created us!

We have spent 26 weeks, the last six months exploring our identity in God and how to find our ‘blooms’ in Christ! Who we are was predestined by God and secured by Jesus yet our mouths are the confirming catalyst. I cannot think of a better way to leave 2019 and enter 2020, the start of a new decade, than with a clearer sense of what the ‘I Am’ says that I am.
This has been a wonderful journey for me and I hope the same has been true for you too…thanks for joining me! <3
