I Week 24: A Servant by Heart

Inward peace comes from an outward focus.

‭‭luke‬ ‭5:31-32‬ ‭kjv

“And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

“You can’t have a servant’s heart and be self-conscious and comparative, because to serve passionately, all energy and attention should be focused outward, not inward. Consequently, it is the excessive hyper focus on the self that keeps count of all the times you have served and never been served back. Jesus lived a life constantly pouring himself out and rarely received that same passion back. Jesus had a strong relationship with Me that sustained him, he didn’t need security from man because he was affirmed by Me. You have Me and I am the one who picks up the pieces for you when you fall. Who else better to support you and serve you than Me, Your Creator, the All-Knowing One.” -God to me

I tend to pour out love and support and then become discouraged when that same care is not reciprocated. Who is there for me when I fall? Who is there for me when I need prayer? Who is there for me when I am struggling? Tuesday was one of those days. However, I am never allowed to wallow long in a pity party because my mother loves to quote “He who needs no physician” and God is quick to expand my perspective

People come and go, but Jesus will never leave. He is with us and within us.
