cleansing
Don’t just start again, start better and start healthier with a renewed spirit!
isaiah 41:18-19 tpt
“I will open up refreshing streams on the barren hills and springing fountains in the valleys. I will make the desert a pleasant pool and the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the treeless desert cedars and achaia, myrtle and olive trees. I will set in the wilderness evergreens, together with many elm and cypress.”
This verse may look familiar if you read this past Sunday’s post, Travelers. I was reading Isaiah 41 from The Passion Translation and saw this footnote:
“These seven trees speak of fullness of new creation life. Compare them to the seven branches of the lampstand and the seven Spirits of God.”
This idea of the seven spirits of God was new to me but I went looking and found that the seven spirits of God are thought to be equate to the Holy Spirit; they are mentioned four times in Revelations 1:4, 3:1, 4:5, and 5:6.
The seven spirits are:
- Spirit of the Lord
- Spirit of Wisdom
- Spirit of Understanding
- Spirit of Counsel
- Spirit of Power
- Spirit of Knowledge
- Spirit of the Fear of the Lord
As we approach the end of this unique and challenging year, it is important to start thinking about how we want to enter 2021. We have all experienced distress and discomfort at some point in this year and should not allow that negativity to linger in our lives. So, for the next seven weeks, we are going to embark on a joint cleansing!
Here’s to new and better beginnings…and our next series, “cleansing” on AD 😉
Until Weekend Wellness,
