“My eyes of faith won’t focus anymore, for sorrow fills my heart. There are so many enemies who come against me!” -Psalm 6:7 TPT
Not only can setbacks discourage us, but they can blind us too! Which is why we have to fight the good fight of faith, 1 Timothy 6:12. It’s not the failure or the subsequent (short-term) emotional toil that threatens to paralyze us, but the (long-term) spiritual blurriness.
The milk spoils, we cry our tears and life moves on. Until, we are in the dairy section of the grocery store and our minds time travel back to that ill-fated expired milk! Satan is just like that as he distorts the eyes of our faith by reminding us of all the times that it didn’t work out.
We all have to clean our spiritual glasses from time to time, with microfiber cloths of God’s Promises and undying love for us! Life is going to dirty, smudge and maybe even scratch your lenses but they are framed in Jesus’ blood and they cannot be broken or permanently blurred!
