I have two truths tonight: 1) This post was one more disaster away from not getting uploaded and 2) I thought a lampshade would be aesthetically interesting!
Happy September and I hope that made you made laugh 🙂
“I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!”-John 14:27 TPT
Gifts are given freely by the giver and received fully by the receiver. Ever tried taking away Christmas and Birthday gifts from little kids after they have opened and begun to play with them? Chances are you haven’t, because little Johnny and Susy have a keen sense of ownership and are not easily going to give up their newfound possessions.
Our peace from Jesus is a gift and Satan, being the thief that he is, constantly tries to spiritually repossess that and anything else that God has given to us. The good news though, is this, the burglary of our spirits cannot take place without our permission. Satan has only the power that we assign to him, via our carnal responses to unfavorable situations.
I’m at peace with circumstances that are out of my control. I’m at peace with who I am as a person. And most of all I’m at peace with God’s plans, even when I don’t understand them.
Hopefully, you too can find your place of peace (if you haven’t already), regardless of what foolish and ill-fated plans Satan is weaving!
